The Method
Two principles.
One complete system.
Principle 01

Efficient Weight Transfer

Distribute power from your back leg to your front leg as efficiently as possible. This is the foundation of elite throwing and pitching mechanics.

Principle 02

Repeatable Motion

Consistency creates success. Through purposeful drills, we build a motion that repeats pitch after pitch, at bat after at bat.

Coaching Philosophy

Most parents and coaches don't realize how foundational throwing mechanics are to pitching. We fix that first — then build everything else on top of it. Good throwing mechanics transfer directly to the mound. Bad ones do too.

It all starts with playing catch. How properly you play catch determines how well you're going to pitch. My approach begins with an assessment, then we work through targeted drills. At the end of every session, I give players two specific things to focus on and master before we meet again.

A huge benefit players don't expect: arm health. Because we teach athletes to use their whole body instead of just their arm, we dramatically reduce arm stress, aches, and injury risk.

  • Playing catch is foundational to every great pitcher
  • Same foundation for all ages — drills evolve as they grow
  • Long-term development over short-term wins
  • Two focus points per session — simple, repeatable, effective

Results
What parents say.
The Stride Guide
"Been loving it. Super helpful. Really helping Luke stay closed vs flying open and pushing with his arm. Once he started keeping his foot straight at the target his whole body started rotating — turned his arm into a whip and found instant velocity."
Adam — Parent of Luke
"One of our biggest challenges is to get our kids to step towards their target when throwing. We tried everything... but with the help of Rik and the Stride Guide, all of our kids have improved their mechanics, accuracy and power. The Stride Guide is a game changer."
Dr. John Pecora — Sports Medicine Specialist
"I've seen vast improvements in my son's throwing mechanics in both baseball and football since using the Stride Guide. He makes corrections on his own and sees the results when he steps properly."
Joey Gibellino — Parent
"The Stride Guide has been perfect for my boys! Having it as a constant reminder has helped them focus on their stride and improve their throwing and pitching independently."
Mike Strazzeri — Parent
Coaching Lessons
"Laird was Perfect Game MVP Pitcher last weekend. You are a big part of his development. Thank you."
Parent of Laird — Perfect Game MVP Pitcher
"He's pitching in 1 game a week — 45-60 pitches. 5 Ks, 3 walks, 2 hits, no runs. His curve is getting better too. He owes a ton of it to you."
